Established in 1998 in Stoke-on-Trent, England, Cobridge Stoneware was a short-lived pottery company born out of the fascination of Hugh Edwards, owner of Moorcroft, with the innovative techniques of early 20th-century Ruskin Pottery. Edwards aimed to revive the high-temperature firing processes pioneered by William Howson Taylor of Ruskin Pottery, leading to the creation of Cobridge Stoneware. The company produced decorated stoneware that garnered critical acclaim for its artistic quality. Despite this, Cobridge Stoneware ceased operations in August 2005. Today, its limited production pieces are sought after by collectors, representing a unique fusion of historical inspiration and modern craftsmanship. Excellent Condition
