Early arts and crafts vase decorated with lovely flowers by Mary McLaughlin.. Wonderful artwork with superior color and glaze.. Shows well with a flat glaze nick to the rim as well as a tight and hard to see hairline. No other chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind.. Bottom marked with cipher for Mary McLaughlin, Cincinnati, date and possible shape number.. Vase is 6 3/4" tall and 6" wide.. Mary Louise McLaughlin was an innovator in ceramics and a leading exponent of the art pottery movement in the United States. Her contributions, both technical and aesthetic, were critical to Cincinnati's rise as a center of pottery production in the United States.
