Norse 1900s Vintage Art Pottery Bronze Ware Brown Ceramic Incised Planter 95 Very rare and striking planter with its original liner and beautiful incised decoration on a brown bronze body. Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Age related wear and minor nicks to liner. Bottom marked with Norse logo and shape number. Vase is 5 3/4" tall and 5 1/2" wide. Norse Pottery was established in 1903 in Edgerton, Wisconsin. In 1904 Norse Pottery was acquired by A.W. Wheelock. Wheelock moved Norse to Rockford, Illinois. Norse Pottery is glazed in a dull, dark metallic type glaze. Forms were made to resemble ancient Denmark, Sweden and Norway pottery.
