Rare and exceptional Maria Longworth Nichols vase featuring whimsical hand-painted grass hoppers dancing with delicate blue flowers and spiders. The golden yellow glaze provides a bright backdrop for the intricate black and blue detailing adding a dynamic visual appeal.. Excellent condition. Tight and harmless mid body spider line and a factory firing line in base as shown. No other chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind.. Bottom marked Rookwood 1882 and has artist's initials MLN.. Vase is 10 3/4" tall and 7" wide.. Clean, exceptional, and estate fresh.
