Roseville Early Carnelian Green 1916 Pottery Fern Dish Attached Bud Vase 236-8 A rare and distinctive form from Roseville’s Early Carnelian line, introduced in 1916. This unusual combination piece features a wide, shallow fern dish with an attached tall bud vase rising from the center. The surface is finished in a mottled matte green glaze with earthy brown highlights, reflecting the experimental glaze treatments that define Carnelian ware. The scarcity of this form makes it particularly desirable, as it illustrates Roseville’s creativity in combining functional design with Arts and Crafts era aesthetics. A standout and seldom-seen example for advanced collectors.Excellent original condition. No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Bowl and bud vase are 8" tall and 8 3/4" wide. Piece can be found on page 119 of Understanding Roseville Pottery by Mark Bassett.Clean and estate fresh.
