Rudolph Lorber (1873-1952) For Weller Pottery 1909 Watercolor Design Concepts Delicately stylized and richly hued, this 1909 signed Lorber illustration presents three striking vase designs in classic Art Nouveau style. Featuring flowing female portraits framed by soft halos and botanical motifs, the artwork blends grace and geometry in emerald, cream, and rose tones.Excellent condition. Age related wear to left side. Frame is 13" tall and 16" wide. Signed by Rudolph Lorber and dated 1909.Lorber, born in 1873 in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, was a designer and modeler at Vance Faience Pottery Company in Tiltonsville, Ohio from 1901 to 1903, before he moved to Zanesville, Ohio and worked for Weller Pottery Company.
