Nice arts and crafts poppies vase in Mountain Crag brown and matte green.. This is a lighter bodied and darker clay version of this form that is typically seen from this time period. I believe the x ink mark likely indicates a trial clay body. . Excellent original condition. No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind.. Bottom marked with logo, x, and Van Briggle Colo Spls.. Vase is 8 1/4" tall and 4 1/4" wide.. This poppies vase, designed in 1903 by Artus Van Briggle is a redesign of his earlier vase #2 from 1900, and was again restyled in 1909 as vase 794 by Anne Van Briggle.
