Large and stunning vase with four frogs peeking out of the base. and a spade leaf design with repeating flower buds.. Excellent condition with a non showing restoration to rim. No other chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind.. Bottom marked the Weller half kiln stamp.. Vase is 11 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" wide.. Weller Pottery was founded in 1872 by Samuel A. Weller in Fultonham, Ohio, initially producing simple utilitarian items such as stoneware jars and crocks. As the company grew, it moved to Zanesville, Ohio, in the 1880s and expanded into decorative art pottery, capitalizing on the popularity of the Arts and Crafts movement.
