Florentine 1900s Vintage Ohio Art Pottery Metallic Dimpled Ceramic Vase 110 Rare Effeco Ware gun metal gray metallic bulbous vase with dimple pattern. Excellent original condition. No chips, cracks, damage or repair of any kind. Bottom marked with shape number. Vase is 9" tall and 5 1/2" wide. Florentine Pottery, established in Chillicothe, Ohio, operated from approximately 1901 to 1905, producing a limited but memorable range of art pottery. Known for its distinctive spongeware glazes, metallic luster finishes, and refined forms, Florentine Pottery reflects the influence of the Arts and Crafts movement with its emphasis on natural beauty and craftsmanship. Despite its artistic innovation, the company struggled to gain traction in the competitive artware market and eventually shifted to producing sanitary ware before ceasing operations. Today, Florentine Pottery is highly prized by collectors for its rarity, quality, and the unique charm it brings to the rich tradition of American art pottery.
